The
Leadership Burbank’s Class of 2005 worked together to develop and
complete an overwhelmingly successful fundraising project. After
researching various potential projects, the class members decided on
a project to raise funds for Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC) a
local organization serving the poor and homeless in Burbank.
The class set a goal to raise $5,000.
Class
members were challenged to find resources and creative ways to
design a successful fundraiser. A fundraising mixer was
planned.

The
students worked to gain support from local citizens and
businesses, developed a mailing, and sold tickets for the event.
They also had a silent auction and raffle at the mixer to enhance
the event's financial success.
The committee appreciated the support of the event sponsors,
including Walt Disney Co., PIP Printing, Say What! Productions,
Provident St. Joseph Medical Center and Bob Hope Airport. |
